Councilmember Carol Fukunaga recently introduced Bill 11, CD1 and Resolution 16-37, two pieces of legislation critical to reducing the heavy Moanalua area traffic which will be heard at two City Council committee meetings on Thursday, March 3, 2016!

Bill 11 will be heard by the Committee on Zoning and Planning (ZP), chaired by Councilmember Ikaika Anderson, at 9:00 AM.  You can find the ZP agenda and follow Bill 11’s status on the City Council’s website (and here’s a link to an HNN news story that ran last week).

Resolution 16-37 will be heard by the Committee on Transportation (TRN), chaired by Councilmember Joey Manahan, at 1:00 PM.  You can find the TRN agenda and follow Resolution 16-37’s status on the City Council’s website.

We encourage you to submit testimony for both hearings, and to forward this information to anyone else who lives in the Aiea, Salt Lake, or Red Hill areas, or who travels along the H-1 corridor at Red Hill/Moanalua daily, who you think may be interested in this grassroots effort—from submitting testimony, to helping spread the word, to taking a leading role.

Please contact Mandie Suyat of Councilmember Fukunaga’s staff at 768-5072 if you additional questions, or are willing to assist in community mobilization efforts.
